Cairde sna Sléibhte

The Maumturks Walking Club was founded in 2009 by a number of local people in the Maum area. 

We hike every Sunday in Connemara and Mayo. We also visit other parts of Ireland for hikes and for walking weekends. We have welcomed other walking clubs to Connemara on occasion. We also organise club trips abroad for our members.

Walks are planned in advance in three-month blocks and are emailed to our members.

 Our walks are graded according to level of ascent and duration of walk.

We are a group of like-minded people who hike and respect our hills, enjoy the beauty of our surroundings, enjoy each other’s company and are truly grateful for the opportunities we are given to do this.
