Walk start times are noted on the Monthly Walk Sheet and it is worth checking these prior to walks as start times are often changed depending on location of walk.
All walkers meet at the designated meeting point at the times listed.
Hill walking is an adventure sport and not devoid of an element of risk. To minimise risk be prepared; boots, rucksack, waterproofs, a packed lunch, hot drink, warm hat, gloves etc.
The MTWC recognises that participants in hill walking should be aware of and accept any risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
Remember:
No Boots, No Walk
Each walk is led by a recognised Walk Leader of the Club who will generally elect an assistant leader (often to act as “sweeper”) on the day.
The Leader reserves the right to refuse persons from walking and also to change the start time, location or duration of the Walk.
We ask that walkers respect the Walk Leader and any issues relating to the Walk, the Leader should deal with especially where interaction with the public is required, only.
Those wishing to walk with the Club for the first time are requested to attend the Club Meeting prior (held every month) where they can get an opportunity to meet the Walk Leaders and discuss the walks.
